SHAMANIA LUGNASADH FESTIVAL
Friday 1st – Monday 4th August, 2008

TERMS & CONDITIONS FOR VISITORS

You must be over 18 years of age, to purchase a ticket for, and gain entry to the Shamania Lugnasadh Celebration. A responsible adult must accompany all persons under 18 years of age.

Children brought to Shamania, must be under the competent supervision of a parent or guardian at all times

Tickets are for entry into the Shamania Lughnasadh Celebration only, which includes 4 nights free camping (1st, 2nd 3rd, 4th August 2008).

All vehicles brought to the camp must be displaying a parking permit, and are to be parked in the designated parking area. See Parking Pass Policy below.

All tickets purchased are for the named person only, and are non-transferable.
By buying a ticket you are agreeing to comply with the Festival rules, and accept the Organisers’ terms and conditions.

All tickets are for the entire event, and are non-refundable unless the festival is cancelled.

Tickets will be exchanged for a wristband upon arrival at the gate. Wristbands must be worn at all times and are non-transferable. Replacements will NOT be issued free of charge.
Defaced or damaged tickets may not be accepted.

The Organisers reserve the right to refuse admission; and change any of the featured acts and events, at any time, without prior notice.

The camp site is only open from 3pm on Friday 1st August , until 9am on Tuesday 5th August.
All campers must have left the festival site by 12 noon on Tuesday 5th August 2008.

The Shamania Festival finishes at 4am on Monday 4th August, after which security levels will be reduced to a minimum. Visitors are welcome to remain on site, entirely at their own risk; until latest, 12 noon on Tuesday 5th August, in order to recuperate before driving home.

No vehicles over 3.5t gvw may be brought onto the site without prior arrangement.

Tickets are purchased with the understanding that any persons attending the camp and taking part in any activities, workshops and events; do so at their own risk. The Organisers shall accept no responsibility for any loss, damage or injury howsoever caused. The first aid tent is equipped to deal with minor injuries only.

Strictly NO animals will be allowed on site. Visitors bringing animals to the Shamania Festival, will be turned away at the gate. The organisers will NOT be held responsible for refunding any expenses incurred. Please enquire prior to the event if you require details of kennels, etc. in the locality.

Any person(s) found to be breaching either the Terms & Conditions, or the Ferstival Rules listed below, will be subject to eviction from the Shamania Lugnasadh Festival, without refund.

The decision of Enlightened Entertainments Ltd. regarding the interpreting of the Terms & Conditions is final.

FESTIVAL RULES

No tents or structures to be erected, except in designated camping areas.

Open fires are not permitted, anywhere on site; other than the main camp fire.

No amplified music is allowed in the camping areas.

Aggressive and antisocial behaviour, will not be tolerated at Shamania.

Controlled drugs are not welcome at Shamania. Dealing of any controlled drugs, will not be tolerated. You may be searched at the entrance. The dealing in or use of drugs is not condoned at the Shamania Lugnasadh Festival. Drug enforcement laws are as applicable on site as any where else in the UK. Police officers will be on site and will deal with drugs offences in accordance with national guidelines. If you deal in drugs, it is likely that you will arrested.

Persons suspected of carrying out illegal and / or offensive activities onsite may be searched.
Neither anti-social or illegal behaviour will be tolerated, and participants will be face eviction from site. The festival is not outside the law. Law breakers will be excluded from the site and reported to the police. Any items which the organisers consider may be used in an illegal or offensive manner will be confiscated.

Ensure your camp area is left clean and in good order when leaving site. Please dispose of your rubbish thoughtfully, Recycling points and litter bins will be provided.

No glass will be permitted on site; as it poses a danger to all. Especially children, cleaning staff; and the animals, that will be returning to the field, when the festival is over.

PARKING PASS POLICY

To enable us to operate a safe traffic management policy, on the single track road, leading to this year’s new location, for the Shamania Lugnasadh Festival 2008; it will be necessary for each vehicle coming on to site, to be displaying a Parking Pass in their windscreen, upon arrival.

We urge your cooperation in this matter and strongly recommend that a Parking Pass is purchased when ordering your tickets, as this will ensure you will be able to park near the Festival site, in the relevant area.

The surrounding area lacks any provision for public car parking within at least a 3km radius.

Any vehicle not displaying a Parking Pass may be turned back, just over a mile from the actual festival site. Parking Passes may be available to purchase on arrival (dependent on availability), but will cost double the price of those on sale, prior to the event.

NOTES & ADVICE

We would like the Shamania Lugnasadh Festival to be fun, friendly, enlightening, refreshing and spiritually rewarding. We have produced a programme of events that we hope you will enjoy. A detailed programme will be displayed on the main notice board, along with any other news. The notice board will be situated just outside the site Main Office.

Toilet facilities are provided in the form of event toilets. There are no showers or bathing facilities provided.

Remember this is a ticket only event. On arrival a valid ticket, for each individual, must be produced, before entry onto the site will be allowed.

Bring appropriate clothing and camping equipment, this is an outdoor event.

Be aware, exposure to excessive noise could damage your hearing.
